Facts About Kremlin " Red Square Palace "



The Moscow Kremlin (Russian: Московский Кремль) is a historic fortified
complex at the very heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River (to the
south), Saint Basil's Cathedral (often mistaken as the Kremlin) and Red
Square (to the east) and the Alexander Garden (to the west). I





t is the best known of kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes four palaces,
four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. The complex
serves as the official residence of the President of Russia.

The official name of the Kremlin and the red square is "Cathedral of the
Protecting Veil". It was built after the saint who was well known in Moscow,
whose grave is right next to it. The cathedral was built between 1555 and 1560.
It was ordered by Ivan IV The Terrible to celebrate the victory over Kazan
Khante. It supposedly built by a Russian master builder named Postnik Barma. The
Kremlin has a good history and is a beautiful cathedral and a wonder of
the world
